Euro rises above 1.32 dollars for the first time

The euro rose above 1.32 dollars for the first time, reaching 1.3201, as the US currency buckled under the strain of imbalances in the American economy.
The single European currency breached the 1.32-dollar mark in early London trading, exceeding a previous record of 1.3198 dollars reached minutes earlier.
It was the third day in a row of record highs for the euro as the market sold dollars on concerns about the large US current account and budget deficits.
